COUNTLESS CITY
Walk through an impossible city
An absurd guided choreographic tour (a silent walk) through the infinite versions of Palermo.
Countless City is a site-specific participatory performance for a small group (maximum 20 people), taking place along Via Maqueda in Palermo, with a starting point in the cloister of the former convent.
Through a guided silent walk, participants receive absurd, poetic and humorous instructions via headphones, and are invited to translate them bodily through micro-gestures and interactions: walking like a sewing machine, greeting passers-by like distant old uncles, crossing the street as if it were made of lemons...
Palermo becomes a Countless City: a living patchwork of cultures, gestures, sounds and stories.
The experience combines body, listening, play and irony, transforming the urban space into a shared scene, between real and imaginary, a place to explore with a collective and surreal gaze.
