The international project “When Global Meets Local” brings together a process-oriented encounter among artists Francesco Colaleo, Maxime Freixas, Lex Shcherbakov, and Simina German. Representing diverse disciplines—Francesco and Maxime as dancers and choreographers, and Simina and Lex as theater makers—their collaboration began during the project's first phase in Ulm, Germany. This initiative is not focused on creating a final product or performance but rather on fostering mutual exchange, experimentation, and collective creativity in an open and exploratory way.
Their research has since evolved through residencies in Pomarance and Arsoli, Italy. The resulting performance is an open, adaptable format that they present to audiences in a playful and visually captivating manner. This dynamic structure allows the performance to seamlessly respond to the unique features of each location while incorporating aspects of the setting and the local community, creating an experience deeply connected to its environment.
