CHEF D'ŒUVRE

Chef d'œuvre is a performance that aims to foster a permeable dialogue between the art of cooking and that of dance.
Culinary recipes can be considered as true performative scores: intentions, qualities of movement, dynamics, relationship to temporality and space.
The dish and the performance space share the notion of harmony between the elements, which, by inhabiting the same place, are interested in the balances between performer and spectator, between aesthetics and flavor.
Tasting a gesture, seeing a food… the performative act becomes multisensory and becomes a vector of interpretation between everyday gesture and qualified gesture.
Beat, cut, separate, raise, bake, boil, mix… are action verbs that express movement.
The meeting becomes a pretext for creating an experimental recipe close to a Laban notation.
